The new Coastal Kitchen was a dream realized by the current owner. Archie Prince was the Chef for the former restaurant owners for eight years. In early 2017 he learned that he may have an opportunity to purchase the restaurant and was eager to chase his lifelong dream.
Chef/ Owner Chef Archie Prince has been in the restaurant business 25 years and has now called Saint Simons his home for over twenty years. Chef Prince, originally from Nashville, has held kitchen positions in restaurants from Louisiana to Charleston, SC including notable fine dining such as the Bistro at Mason De Ville in New Orleans. He was formally trained and first in his graduating class at The New Orleans Culinary Institute. The new Coastal is his first restaurant venture of his very own. He jumped at the chance to unleash his ideas and his own spin on southern seafood fair. Chef was also a two time Shrimp and Grits Festival winner in Jekyll Island.
